1. If you accidentally delete a file or folder…
It will remain in your backup for 30 days before being deleted from our
servers. During this time, you can recover it right from your desktop, using the Carbonite software. Just find the file or folder in the list of backed up files and click "Restore." Carbonite restores it to your computer, right where it used to be.
2. If your computer crashes, is stolen or just dies…
From your new or repaired computer log in to Carbonite.com and click "Restore" – you’ll be taken step-by-step through the process of putting all your backed up files back where they belong.
3. If you’re away from your computer but need one of your files…
Just log in to Carbonite.com from any computer connected to the Internet, click “view files” and download any file in your backup. Or use one of our FREE mobile apps to access your files right on your iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ or BlackBerry® mobile device.

4. If you can't connect to Carbonite and need to recover files...
If disaster strikes and you lose Internet connectivity, we’ll ship you a copy of your backup – and then walk you through the process of recovering your files.
Please note: This option is not available for customers outside of the U.S. or for customers governed by HIPAA guidelines.
