Subscriptions include 1 TB of local storage and a 500 GB starter pack of cloud space to protect servers and workstations, with no separate hardware fees and no per-server licensing fees. The Carbonite Appliance employs industry-standard encryption technology to keep data secure. Data is transferred to the cloud with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption and stored with AES-256 encryption server-side. Our security standards allow the Carbonite Appliance to support HIPAA, FERPA and GLBA compliance when needed.
The Appliance is simple yet highly flexible and customizable. Use the centralized dashboard to set up and configure backups, set full, incremental and differential options, and monitor local and cloud storage quotas.
