Backup so simple, you'll actually back up.
According to the New York Times, Carbonite is the "easiest online backup software to use."
Sets up quickly and easily
Installing Carbonite on your computer is easy. The software takes you through the quick setup process step-by-step. You won't need to restart your computer or close anything you're working on. Just select automatic setup during installation and Carbonite will take care of the rest.
Works automatically, in the background
Once you install Carbonite, you'll never have to remember to back up again. The automatic backup runs continually in the background, backing up new and changed files whenever your computer is connected to the internet. Carbonite is designed to go to sleep when you’re using your computer so that it doesn’t slow you down. After your initial backup, you shouldn’t notice any impact on the performance of your computer or internet speed.
We monitor your backup and let you know if there’s anything that needs your attention. And if you ever want to check on the status of your backup, you can do it with a few quick clicks.

Instantly see what’s backed up – and what’s not
Carbonite puts colored dots next to file names on your computer, letting you see at a glance which files are backed up, and which are not. On a Mac, the dots can be found inside the Carbonite Preference Pane.

add it to your backup.
