What About Mac?
Available in all Carbonite Home plans:
- Schedule backups to fit your schedule. Take complete control over when Carbonite backs up your files. Set a customized backup schedule by telling Carbonite what days and times to begin your backup – or what times NOT to run your backup. (For instance, if you use your computer during the day, you can tell Carbonite not to back up between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.)
- Back up multiple versions of the same files. Have certain files that you change frequently? Carbonite can save up to 3 months of previous versions of your files: up to one version a day for the past 7 days, up to one version a week for the previous 3 weeks, and one version a month for the two months before that. Learn more about versioning.
- Manage your own encryption key. If industry regulations require you to manage your own encryption keys, Carbonite gives you this option. However, please note if you manage your own encryption key, you will be unable to use the Anytime, Anywhere Access feature to access your backed up files from your computer, iPhone®, Android™ or BlackBerry® smartphone.
- Select which files are recovered first. In the event you need to recover all your files, but need some files more urgently than others, Carbonite lets you specify that those files be recovered first. Once they’re recovered, Carbonite recovers the rest of your files automatically.
Available in HomePlus and HomePremier plans:
- New! Back up your external hard drive online. Make sure the files you store on an external hard drive are backed up safely offsite. If you have files on an external hard drive that aren’t on your computer, you can add those files to your online backup by simply selecting the drive to include in your Carbonite backup.
- New! Create a mirror image of your computer. Add an extra layer of protection with our Mirror Image backup – a local copy of your computer’s hard drive. Mirror Image backs up your operating system and programs, as well as your files and folders, to an external hard drive.
