Acer Adds 30-day Trial of Carbonite Online Backup Service to Select Acer PCs Shipping to U.S. and Canada
BOSTON — March 5, 2009 — Carbonite, Inc., the leading provider of online backup to consumers and small businesses, today announced a partnership with Acer Inc. to provide Carbonite's award-winning online backup service to Acer's consumer customers on select PCs shipping to the U.S. and Canada. As part of the partnership, Acer Travelmate and Aspire branded computers ship with a free trial of Carbonite Online Backup™ pre-loaded.

Pre-installed on select Acer brand computers shipping to the U.S. and Canada, Carbonite prompts the user to initialize the backup service the first time the computer is connected to the Internet.
