One of the nicest things about a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product like Carbonite is that, whenever there’s a new version of your software available, it can get pushed out to automatically.
But sometimes it can take some time for us to schedule the upgrade. For those that want to upgrade before that, here are some quick steps to help you ensure you’re running the most current version of Carbonite Pro.
1. Go to www.carbonite.com and sign into your account.
2. When you’re logged in, select the “Computers” tab at the bottom and then select your username.
3. Select the computer you’d like, then open up the drop-down menu and select the “Reinstall on this computer” option.
4. Reinstall Carbonite
5. When Carbonite asks if you want to restore data just say “No” and Carbonite will resume backing up. That’s it! Five simple steps and you are running the newest version of Carbonite Pro!
