Under Mohamad's leadership, Carbonite's global team is fully engaged in developing and delivering the next generation of data protection solutions. Driven by a passion for technology, Mohamad served as Chief Strategy Officer at Hewlett Packard where he played a pivotal role in the company's turnaround. At IBM, Mohamad led the creation of the firm's eight billion dollar business analytics software unit, and at Avaya, he oversaw the company's two billion dollar services group. He was also the CEO of the Workforce Optimization division of Aspect Software. Mohamad holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering, a B.A. in History and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He serves on the boards of iRobot, Oxfam America and the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council.
As CFO at Carbonite, Anthony Folger keeps one eye on our numbers and the other on our future. Together with his team, Anthony is setting our strategy for global development and expansion, and ensuring we have the people, systems and processes in place to be successful every step of the way.
Prior to joining Carbonite, Anthony was CFO at Acronis, where he handled all aspects of global accounting, operations and human resources. Before joining Acronis, Anthony was Director of Finance at Cisco, and Corporate Controller at MarketMax and Habama. Anthony also held senior finance positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte & Touche.
Anthony graduated from The College of the Holy Cross with a B.A. in Accounting and Economics, and he is a Certified Public Accountant.
Norman Guadagno hones in on that unique place where company brand meets customer need and harnesses it in a way that adds value for customer and company alike. Together with the Marketing team, Norman drives brand strategy, product marketing and overall market awareness for Carbonite worldwide.
Before joining Carbonite, Norman was Senior Vice President of Marketing Strategy at the digital marketing agency Wire Stone, working with clients such as Microsoft, Boeing and Nike. Prior to Wire Stone, Guadagno held senior marketing roles at Microsoft and Oracle, as well as leading creative agencies. Guadagno began his career in the software industry focusing on user interaction.
Norman holds an M.A. in Psychology from Rice University and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Rochester.
With a career that has taken him to China and back, Paul Mellinger has effectively led complex organizations around the world. At Carbonite, Paul applies his leadership and expertise in global sales, technology and integration to guide and grow our worldwide sales organization.
Before joining Carbonite, Paul served an impressive 30 years at IBM in some of the company's most critical executive roles, including Vice President of IBM Software Sales, Vice President of Cognos NA, and Vice President of Information Management Asia Pacific.
Paul holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University/St. Louis and an M.B.A. from the Olin School of Business at Washington University.
Deepak Mohan has a passion for delivering highly innovative products that aim to exceed customer expectations. With more than 25 years of experience building secure and scalable data protection solutions for commercial businesses focusing on creating a customer-first vision, Deepak serves as Carbonite’s Senior Vice President of Products and Engineering. In this role, he oversees product strategy, engineering and product management for the entire Carbonite family of home and business solutions.
Before joining Carbonite, Deepak served at CEO and Founder for ActoVoice, Inc. Prior to ActoVoice, Deepak held senior technical leadership roles at EMC and Symantec/VERITAS.
Deepak holds an M.A. in Computer Science from New York University and a B.A. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. He also holds two patents in the data protection space.
As the founding member of Carbonite’s legal team, Danielle Sheer played a critical role in leading the company to a NASDAQ listing in 2011. Danielle oversees our global legal and corporate governance affairs, including worldwide data security and privacy compliance, spearheading our technology patent portfolio for Carbonite’s business continuity solutions and guiding our international expansion efforts.
Prior to Carbonite, Danielle practiced corporate and securities law at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, where she specialized in technology-related corporate matters and M&A.
Danielle was named to the Boston Business Journal's "40 under 40" list of emerging business leaders, honored by the Massachusetts Bar Association and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as an "Emerging Leader," selected as "Maverick of the Year" Stevie award winner for Women in Business, and named an “Emerging Leader for Advancing Women Leaders” by the Boston Business Journal. Danielle received a J.D. from Georgetown University and a B.A. with honors from George Washington University. She serves on the Board of Directors of The Boston Club and the Board of Overseers at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Lawrence "Larry" Friedman is a highly regarded technologist who enjoys the creative process of solving problems and designing complex systems. As Chief Information Security Officer, Larry and his team build and maintain the strategy and programs necessary to secure both Carbonite's data protection solutions and our corporate IT environment, and to maintain the integrity of customer data.
Prior to this role, Larry was the Chief Technology Officer at Carbonite, where he was responsible for leading a team to anticipate the IT security needs of our customers and engineer data protection solutions. Before joining Carbonite, Larry was a distinguished engineer at RSA Security, where he provided technical strategy and architecture for RSA's Identity businesses. While at RSA, he supported multiple corporate development initiatives, leading M&A technical diligence reviews that resulted in the acquisition of six different companies. Prior to RSA, he held principal engineering positions at Greatway Technologies and Digital Equipment Corporation.
Larry is the co-inventor of 43 granted patents, with 7 patents pending. He holds an M.A. in Music from Boston University, where he also studied for his M.S. in Computer Science.
