IT professionals spend lots of time lying awake at night worrying things like IT security, backup and disaster recovery and a host of other issues, according to the latest research from Carbonite and Spiceworks, an IT industry networking and research firm.
And it's no wonder they're losing sleep, especially when you consider some of the survey's other key findings. Spiceworks surveyed 156 IT professionals at midsize companies with 100-499 and learned that:
- 42% of respondents experienced a malware security breach or threat in 2016
- 40% experienced a phishing attack
- 26% have dealt with ransomware
The worst part is that the majority of IT pros do not feel prepared to handle threats like ransomware and other forms of malware. The results of the new survey are detailed in our new e-book, "A Portrait of the IT Professional."
